Present Value 1.0
Present Value 1.0 is a program written by Kollin Rice for Macintosh computers. It is currently functional, though it still contains a number of bugs in the user interface. The software with which it was developed is now obsolete, so, until the author has the time and inclination to translate it into another medium, development has been stalled.
The program does an accurate job of calculating present values of future lump sum payments and streams of payments, though the algorhythms it uses do not exactly comply with the tables used by the Internal Revenue Service for valuation of future interests. It is useful for its originally intended purpose, which is to come up with reasonable estimates of present values for the purpose of estimating values for purposes of litigation.
The latest version, nominally titled 1.0, is distributed as a freeware program, and is governed by the licensing agreement that appears within the program. Download Present Value 1.0, in a version compressed using StuffIt Deluxe(TM) by clicking here.
